A new law on life insurance

The ministry of public health and population is about to achieve the procedures for the launch of a new compulsory health insurance scheme. The law has been approved by the ministry, pending the publication of the implementing order. This insurance will be run by two public entities: the health public authority and the health insurance fund. At first, the public sector will be the only beneficiary of this cover which will be extended, later on, to all Yemeni citizens.
