National Insurance Company (NIC), partially privatized

The Ugandan government is selling its share in NIC capital to private investors. The price is set at 45 UGX (0.023 USD) per share and 40% of the capital is poised to be sold. This move ended in February 5. It is the twelfth company to be listed on the Ugandan market. The remaining 60% of the capital are held by the Nigerian company Industrial and General Insurance (IGI).
