Motor third party liability tariffs to be revised in India

India's insurance regulator is planning to revise the motor third party liability tariffs. The price increase is of 5.3% for popular cars below 1000cc.

For this same category of vehicles, the tariffs for the three-year policies will be of 15% higher. Vehicles of 1000cc to 1500cc will have a 5% rate increase. For the 1500cc and luxurious cars, the rate remains unchanged.

The new motor third party liability pricing would to come into effect on April 1, 2020.
