Motor insurance monitored by NIID database

On the initiative of the insurers’ commission, NIID data base (Nigeria Insurance Industry Data Base) has been established to facilitate the collection of data collection, the elaboration of statistics and the diffusion of data related to transactions on insurance policies. It is also designed to carry out an easy authentification of insurance documents by the authorized personnel.
Since its launch, approximately 1.5 million motor insurance policies have been entered into the system. The NIID is intended to be used in all classes of business.
