Monthly health premium payment in India

Experts say 40 to 45% of new health insurance underwriters choose the monthly instalment option for premium payments.

This option was recently introduced by the IRDAI with the aim to support the people who underwent pay-cuts due the pandemic.

The average annual premium ranges between 8 000 INR (107.433 USD) and 18 000 INR (241.724 USD) compared to 670 INR (8.99 USD) and 1 500 INR (20.14 USD) for the average monthly premium.
