Minsheng Life obtains the green light to launch its special bird flu policy

China Insurance Regulatory Commission has authorised the Minsheng Life Insurance to issue the first special bird flu policy. In the urban centers the company is planning to offer 200 yuan (USD 24.75) policies for the 100,000 yuan (USD 12,379) payout. For the rest of the country, policies will only cost 100 yuan (USD 12.38), with a maximum payout of 50,000 yuan (USD 6,191).
