Marsh to increase its stake in Marsh India

The broker Marsh has increased its stake in its joint venture Marsh India Insurance Brokers from 49% to 92%.

Approved by the regulatory authority IRDAI, the transaction involves the purchase of shares from local partners and Rampart Trust.

Formed in 2003 as a joint venture between Marsh and India's Rampart Trust, Marsh India is one of the first foreign companies to be registered as a composite broker with the IRDAI.
