Lebanon: New measures to penalize non-compliance with insurance obligations

New measures have been taken by the Lebanese government to penalize non-compliance with motor and health insurance obligations. Road controls will be enhanced.

All motorists will have to contract a motor insurance policy. All employers are required to underwrite a health cover for the benefit of their staff members.

This health insurance obligation applies also to foreign staff members having a work contract.
