According to data published by Byblos Bank, the 26 companies operating on the Lebanese life insurance market ended the 2022 year with a 32.4% decline in their turnover. Life premiums fell down from 369.3 million USD in 2021 to 249.8 million USD twelve months later.
MetLife ALICO maintained its leading position with a 74.3 million USD turnover, accounting for a 29.8% market share in 2022.
It is followed by Bancassurance and Allianz SNA with respective life shares of 15.1% and 11.8%.
