Launch of the first Takaful company in the country

Takaful Insurance Company, the first Islamic insurance company to settle in the state of Puntland in Somalia, started its activities.

The new structure will be managed by Hassan Bashir, appointed general manager, and will operate mainly in the non life class of business.

The opening ceremony was held at at Puntland State University (PSU) in the presence of the Ministers of trade, information and environment.
This is the first insurance company established in Somalia in 20 years.
