Kuwait Insurance, net profit up by 7.9% in 2013

Kuwait Insurance Company (KIC) has achieved a net profit up 7.9% to 15 million USD in 2013. A result carried by a 2% increase in gross premiums of the insurer at 120.26 million USD on the same period.

The income from the takaful activity of KIC has more than tripled and pass from 1.6 million USD in 2012 to 5.9 million USD in 2013.

With a turnover of 65.34 million USD, the non-life business represents 54% of total turnover of the Kuwaiti insurer.
