Japanese Itochu invests in a Lloyd’s syndicate

The company Itochu, one of the oldest trading houses in Japan, has joined Antares, a syndicate of Lloyd’s. This move allows Itochu to expand its insurance operations and to enhance the diversification of the group. Antares Syndicate 1274 plans to underwrite a premiums volume of 329.3 million USD in 2013.
