Insurers affected by drought up to 5 billion USD

Standard and Poor’s has conducted a survey on the drought which is currently hitting the United States. Deemed to be the worst drought to have affected the country since 1988, this disaster has many economic repercussions, especially price increases. S&P has estimated that the potential losses suffered by local insurers, with the exception of ACE, will amount to 5 billion USD, the bulk of which will be supported by the State.
