Injection of 9.7 billion USD in the capital of Anbang Insurance Group

The Chinese authorities have injected 9.7 billion USD into the capital of Anbang Insurance Group.

According to the Chinese Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC), this transaction aims to protect the interest of the policyholders and improve the solvency of the company.

Anbang Insurance has been placed under supervision for a period of one year due to illegal practices.
