ING intends to cede non-strategic assets

Following the announcement pertaining to the suppression of 7000 jobs, ING is intent on disposing non-strategic assets up to 6 to 8 billion EUR (8.4 billion USD to 11.2 billion USD). The Dutch bank insurer has voiced its intention to reduce its exposure to risk and to focus on Europe, especially Poland, Romania and Turkey.
