Indian authorities grant a license to the Lloyd's

The Lloyd's has just obtained the approval of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) for the opening of a branch in India.

This new location will make it easier for the Indian reinsurance brokers to access the London market.
It will be based in Mumbai and will begin operating in 2017.
