Indemnifications for the families of the Joola victims could be doubled

During an audience granted to a delegation from the national association of the victims' families, the Senegalese president promised to raise the compensation amount paid to the legal beneficiaries to 20 billion FCFA (USD 33.5 million), which represents more than twice as much the amount previously announced.
