Increased turnover for Al Koot

Al Koot Insurance and Reinsurance, a subsidiary of Gulf International Services (GIS) has reported a 14% increase of its gross income at 171.5 million USD in 2012. These figures are accounted for by the increase of the sums insured and the inflation of premiums in the energy sector, in addition to the contribution of health insurance to this growth. GIS’ turnover and profits have jumped by 49% and 64.1% respectively at 2.2 billion QAR (599 million USD) and 181.4 million QAR (49.8 million USD).
