Good performance of the insurance sector

The insurance industry has witnessed a 23% increase of its revenues during 2011. Premiums collected totaled 119.5 million USD, 88% of which for non-life insurance and 12% for life. This performance is accounted for by the improvement of the legal framework that best protects the insured and offers a better environment for professionals. The measures imposed by the regulatory authorities have restored public confidence in their insurers.
