Genric Insurance Company launches a pandemic policy

South African insurer Genric Insurance is launching a new product called "Pandemic Shield".

The new policy provides a lump sum to any insured hospitalized for more than 48 hours due to Covid-19 or any other future pandemic to be declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) Covid-19.
