Generali's 2008 results

Generali's turnover has reported a 3% increase growing from 66 billion EUR (97 billion USD) in 2007 to 68 billion EUR (100 billion USD) in 2008. Net results have dropped by more than 70%, from 2.92 billion EUR (4.30 billion USD) in 2007 down to 860.9 million EUR (1.213 billion USD) in 2008. The Italian group remains, nonetheless, optimist as to the results of the ongoing year.
