Five Omani insurers control 60% of the market

The Omani insurance market generated a premium volume of 450.3 million OMR (1.173 billion USD) in 2016, up by 1.87% in comparison with the 442 million OMR (1.151 billion USD) reported in 2015.

Out of the total 22 direct insurance companies, five companies control 60% of the market while 17 others share the remaining 40%.
