The European Commission approves acquisition of XL Group by AXA

The European Commission approved the takeover of XL Group by AXA on 10 August 2018. The institution considers that this transaction does not raise competition concerns.

Announced in March 2018, the transaction is expected to amount to 15.6 billion USD.
