The European Commission approves the acquisition of Cattolica by Generali

Generali has received approval from the European Commission on 21 October 2021 to acquire a majority stake in the Italian insurance company Cattolica.

In May 2021, the Italian insurer has launched a public takeover bid to acquire all the shares of Cattolica for 1.2 billion EUR (1.4 billion USD).
