Earthquake insurance scheme

Yunnan Province, in association with two local insurers, has developed an insurance cover against the risk of earthquake. The policy, which is designed to protect farmers whose goods are not insured, is currently submitted to the authorities for approval. Once validated, this insurance will be the only one in China offering a cover against earthquakes only.
