A drought insurance for coffee

The first drought insurance scheme specific to the cultivation of coffee has been launched by the Agriculture Insurance Company of India (AIC).

Swiss Re, the World Bank as well as coffee-producing countries like Nicaragua have showed interest in this new product elaborated on the basis of rainfall data.
