DRC insurance market: 221 million USD turnover in 2021

All insurers operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have recorded a 221 million USD turnover in 2021.

Vincent Mwepu, President of the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Congo (ASAR), is urging the State to improve the sector's regulation in order to generate more premiums in the upcoming years.

A proper regulation could increase the market's turnover to 3 billion USD within three to five years.
