Dishonest brokers sanctioned

The regulatory authorities are trying to clean up the intermediaries’ market across the country. Twenty brokers were punished for embezzlement. Disciplinary measures were also lodged against thirty agents. Nearly 20% of premiums paid to insurers were late or never paid. Legal proceedings are underway, some of which already resulted in imprisonment sentences.
