Deal concluded between SCOR and Central Insurance of Iran

After two years of negotiations with Bimeh Markazi, leading local reinsurer, SCOR finally brokered an important catastrophe excess of loss treaty on October 4, 2017. Victor Peignet, chief executive officer of SCOR Global P & C conducted talks on the French side.

Since the lifting of economic sanctions imposed on Iran, several international reinsurers have renewed business with the local market. In July 2017, Munich Re signed a partnership agreement with the local insurance company Saman Insurance.
