On January 1, 2007, a new insurance company “Thiqa” was set up with both Libyan and foreign investisors.
It is the group of Ghazi Abou Nahl (Trust), already operating in Algeria which is behind this move. The company will be run by Omar Labiad, former Deputy General Manager of United Insurance (Libya).
