Creation of Munich Re India Services in Mumbai

The German reinsurer has set up in Mumbay (India) a new service company: Munich Re India Services Ltd, which aims at reinforcing its ties with the Indian insurance sector. With the total premium amounts in the life branch nearing 16 billion USD in India in 2003, Munich Re estimates that for the 2010 horizon, it should report an annual growth of 15 to 17%.
