Covid-19: the vaccine available in Europe in Q1 2021

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has announced that vaccination against Covid-19 will start in Europe in Q1 2021.

The European Commission has ordered 300 million doses with an option to purchase an additional 100 million doses.

To acquire vaccines from the various competing technologies, agreements have been concluded with pharmaceutical giants Pfizer and BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson and Sanofi-GSK.

In the United States and the United Kingdom, the vaccine would be available in December 2020.
