Cotona paid back its credit (1.9 million USD) 15 days before the ultimatum proclaimed by the President of Madagascar expired. In 2002 ARO, Cotona's insurer, had granted the company a 10-year loan, but the President decided Cotona should reimburse the loan in January 2003.
