Compulsory health insurance for Indian migrants

Underwriting a health insurance policy is now compulsory for Indians working abroad. Called “Pravasi Bharatiya Bima Yojana”, this scheme will cover costs pertaining to hospitalization, bodily injuries, disability, repatriation and death.

Marine insurance is also covered with up to 1 million INR (22 210 USD).
