Chinese non-life insurance market forecasts for 2026

According to GlobalData, the Chinese non-life insurance market turnover would reach 1 943.1 billion CNY (304.4 billion USD) in 2026 against 1 367.7 billion CNY (212.1 billion USD) in 2021.

The average annual growth rate over the period 2021-2026 is estimated at 7.2%.

The premium increase would depend on the evolution of the motor class of business which accounted for 56.8% of the non-life market in 2021. This activity is followed by the personal accident and health (P&H) and property damage classes of business with the respective market shares of 14.7% and 12.7% in 2021.
