China, China Re’s profit rising sharply in 2015

China Reinsurance Group’s profits attained 7.68 billion CNY (1.18 billion USD) in 2015. This 40.2% increase reported in one year is coupled with a 9.1% progression of gross premiums collected at 80.4 billion CNY (12.4 billion USD).

The premiums in non-life, life and health classes of business have exhibited respective growths of 2.5%, 9% and 18.8% over one year. Return on equity for 2015 is set at 13%.
