The CEO of Qatar Re quits his post

Rachid Ben YedderGunther Saacke, CEO and executive director of Qatar Re expressed his intention to quit the Qatari reinsurer at the next board meeting scheduled for March 2019. His resignation will be effective later in 2019.

It is Michael van der Straaten, Chief Underwriting Officer Long Tail and Specialty Classes who will be appointed acting CEO.
