Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance to open an office in Madrid

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) continues its European expansion. The Boston-based company has opened a new office in Madrid, in addition to three other entities recently created in Europe. After Munich, BHSI opened the Paris office in June 2019 and the Cologne office in July of the same year.

BHSI Madrid will begin its underwritings in the following classes of business: property damage, credit, construction and engineering. The company will gradually develop new products and services in Spain.

The Madrid office is run by Ignacio Almazan.
