Bancassurance turnover increase in 2021

According to the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), bancassurance has recorded a turnover of 16.05 billion MAD (1.7 billion USD) in 2021, representing a 16.5% increase compared to 2020.

The activity is dominated by life and capitalization insurance which accounts for 95.3% of bancassurance collections, that is 15.3 billion MAD (1.6 billion USD) of premiums. The assistance, health and bodily injury classes of business account for 4.7% of bancassurance premiums, that is, 746.9 million MAD (78 million USD).
