Arabia Insurance is focusing on bancassurance

Arabia Insurance is planning on launching bancassurance in Lebanon and in the region. Operations are due to start as of the fourth quarter of 2010 with the distribution of life products. A partnership agreement has already been signed with Jordan's Al Ahli Bank and Bank of Beirut. Another deal will see the light of day with Lebanon's Arab Bank. Arabia Insurance is also seeking a bank of regional status to distribute its products in neighboring countries. The volume of gross written premiums has amounted to 211 million USD in 2009.
