AM Best affirms ratings of GIG Bahrain and GIG Bahrain Takaful

AM Best has confirmed the "A-" (Excellent) financial strength and "a-" long-term credit ratings of Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company (GIG Bahrain) and its subsidiary GIG Bahrain Takaful. The outlook remains stable.

For the first company, the rating reflects the insurer's strong balance sheet, good operating performance, neutral business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management.

For the second company, the rating recognizes its strategic importance to the Group. GIG Bahrain Takaful offers a nationwide underwriting platform for its business, thus increasing GIG's market share in Bahrain.
