Allianz profits hit records in 2006

One year after the restructuring of its activities in Germany and the merger with the Italian RAS, Allianz has reported a record profit of 7 billion EUR (9.2 billion USD) in 2006 compared to 4.4 billion EUR (5.8 billion USD) in 2005.

The 2006 turnover amounts to 101 billion EUR (133 billion USD). Meanwhile, the group announced a staff reduction of 5 700 jobs.
