Allianz: establishment of an insurance asset management firm in China

Allianz has obtained the Chinese supervisory authority's (CBIRC) approval to set up a 100% foreign-owned insurance asset management company. This approval was granted one month after the signature of the investment agreement between China and the European Union.

The new entity will operate under the name Allianz Insurance Asset Management and will be based in Beijing.

The new company will be owned by the Chinese subsidiary of the German insurer Allianz (China) Insurance Holdings.
