Allianz doubles its profits in 2012

Allianz has posted a profit of 5.2 billion EUR (6.8 billion USD) in 2012, an increase of 103.1% over one year . The turnover of the German group rose by 2.7% at 106.4 billion EUR (140.6 billion USD) thanks to non-life insurance which increased by 4.7% at 46.9 billion EUR (62 billion USD).
Life business has fallen by 1.2% at 52.3 billion EUR (69 billion USD). Operations in France rose both in life (+4.7%) and non-life insurance (2.2%).
