Allianz and Generali’s outlooks downgraded by Moody’s

Following the downgrade of Italy’s sovereign rating, Moody’s has announced that it reexamined the insurers’ ratings. The agency has confirmed the ratings of all insurers but revised Allianz and Generali outlooks downwards from stable to negative.
Moody’s has estimated that the exposure of both groups in this country and the structure of their investments represent risks. A new decrease of the Italian sovereign rating would lead to the downgrade of local insurers’ ratings.
