According to the National Insurance Council (CNA), the Algerian market's turnover, all activities combined, reached 47.5 billion DZD (349 million USD) in the first quarter of 2023. This figure is 4.6% higher than the one recorded for the same period in 2022.
The direct market posted a 5.8% increase in written premiums to 46.1 billion DZD (338.7 million USD), or 97.1% of the total portfolio.
As for international reinsurance acceptances, they stood at 1.4 billion DZD (10.3 million USD), declining by 22.9% over one year.
