Africa Re's 2016 Results

Africa Re has published its results ending December 31, 2016. Worth 642.024 million USD, the gross written premiums of the Nigerian reinsurer decreased by 6.85% compared to 2015.
The company's net result went down from 103.64 million USD in 2015 to 100.2 million USD in 2016.

The depreciation of the African currencies against the dollar is the main cause behind these declines.
