Aegon is ceding its shares in Mediterraneo Vida

The Dutch insurer Aegon has ceded its 49.9% share in the Spanish insurer Mediterraneo Vida. The cession to the bank Sabadel, has been made for the amount of 449.5 million EUR (576.3 million USD). It comes within the framework of a restructuring plan of Aegon’s activities in Spain. The Dutch group plans to continue operating in the country through other subsidiaries.
