50% rise in marine cargo insurance premiums

With the recent acts of piracy reported in the Gulf of Aden, some insurance companies are expecting a 50% rise in marine cargo insurance premiums. They also intend to include a clause that allows to suspend temporarily insurance cover to any ship crossing the Somali coasts.
