15% average increase for earthquake premiums

Non-life japanese insurance companies should, together, apply an average increase of 15.5% to their "earthquake" premiums in the next few days.

This increase, the first of its kind for 18 years, would be the effect of the revision of damage estimates due to events that hit the Tohoku region on March 2011.
